Purchase: I bought this helmet for my daughter at CM Tack in Kansas City for about $40. This was the one that fit her the best.
Likes: This helmet fit my daughter, who was 4 at the time. I liked that it had the adjustable size, too, so I knew it would last for a bit. She is now 6 and it still fits her. I also like that it is black, so she can wear it into the ring, although we do have a velvet cover to wear at rated shows to cover the shiny plastic. Her harness has held up well, too, and isn't twisted around.
Dislikes: After 2 years of pretty heavy (3+ times a week) use, the part that adjusts is starting to unsnap itself from the helmet. It still snaps back in, but it makes me think it may be time to get her a new helmet anyhow - can't be too safe with their little noggins.
Quality: This helmet appears to be well made. I can't complain about a $40 helmet that has lasted through 2 years of hard use.
Summary: If your little one rides, this is a great helmet to consider. It is designed specifically for kids, and fits them well. It will also grow with them, which us moms know is a huge bonus!
