Purchase: Bought New from Bedford Tack in Tennessee Cost new was $1635.
Likes: I LOVE this Saddle!!!! The greatest thing about it is that my lower back NEVER hurts when I ride and no other model can do that for me! The next great thing I love is that it has NEVER squeaked and I have done nothing to treat it. My ridding buddy and I talk constantly on the trail and her saddles squeaked so much I was having to repeat everything. After going through 2 saddles she already owned, she too bought a Tucker. Now we can talk and hear! She had a overweight horse with no withers and so she bought a wide tree and loves it. One more tidbit-- I have a horse in training right now and my trainer rode in my Tucker. He first said it was too fluffy in the seat--but after 3 hour ride talked about how solid it felt to ride my horse. When we started removing tack--he said--I bet you could mount in that saddle with no girth. I thought he was joking--but he put one foot in the stirrup and stood up straight in it and it never budged!! Security!!! I have that too. Also, my model is beautiful. I bought it in black and it has silver conchos. I have a Tennessee Walking horse and thought I might show him in a flat shod class and with this saddle I can. So sad they discontinued this model for this reason. Also, being a girl I love to spoil myself so more silver is in the forecast to dress up my ride. I just bought another Tucker used for my husband as a Father's Day present. He hasn't ridden in years because his lower back problems--HA! I've got that one solved!! I dream of overnight trips and believe Tucker will make that a reality for me. I also want to say that I take great care of my saddles--when they aren't in use they are on display in my home--why not they cost about the same as a nice leather sofa!!
Dislikes: The only thing I could say I might not like is the weight--but you can take my synthetic and throw it in the trash--kills my back and doesn't qualify to some in the house!! I'm only keeping it for ground breaking my 2 yr old.
Quality: Superior leathers--doesn't squeak and is beautiful!
Summary: Great seat--no back problems and my knees don't hurt either--I'm 54! Doesn't squeak so talking is a pleasure. Cleans beautifully and is very worthy of display when not in use. Can you mount your ride with no girth?? I love Tucker and will own nothing else!!!
