Purchase: I bought this saddle gently used and paid $750 for it, a great bargain as they normally retail for $1500+!
Likes: One problem I had with my previous saddle (a CC Bates) was that it never did fit my 14.2H large correctly even with the adjustable gullet (no one wants a ill fitting saddle especially because of the discomfort it causes your horse, not to mention we show in the A's and it was effecting our performance). This saddle has molded to his back and is perfectly balanced, you can tell he is much much happier and relaxes faster when we are training. It fits many different horses even my 16.2H Swedish Warmblood who is a medium boned boy, rather than a chunky monster like most warmbloods :) I feel very secure when jumping, it puts my leg in a secure position even over 3'9 and its an enjoyable ride. The other day I went out and did some x-country work with my pony for the first time in a few months and I felt safe and secure even with an unruly pony hopping around underneath me!
Dislikes: The only thing is I wish it had come with pencil blocks underneath the flap, because I only have the knee rolls. But I still love this saddle!
Quality: The leather on the saddle is so soft and it is a beautiful 2-toned combination. It is easy to match up with bridles and leathers! I like the saddle overall it is excellent quality!
Summary: This saddle is an excellent buy for the money and you can definately take it with you from juniors to the A/O! It will last you for many many years.
