Purchase: I bought this online from country supply for $8 plus shipping because my yearling was on stall rest for six weeks and was getting bored. I liked the stall snack system, but he doesn't like horse treats so I wanted to find him a toy.
Likes: Nothing.
Dislikes: This is a cheap plastic toy, and I might as well have hung a bucket in his stall; it would have been sturdier. I was expecting rubber like the jolly balls...boy, was I wrong! This is just a lightweight plastic. It had a dent in it the first day. Because it hangs, it swings around and hits him in the face. I think he finds it more frustrating than fun and I think he bites at it only because it annoys him.
Quality: Lightweight red plastic toy with loop. Hollow. Mine dented easily, although it didn't break. It did smell like apples for the first day or two, but I've had it a month and it no longer does.
Summary: I had a jolly ball long ago when they were still huge and egg shaped. The horses loved it and tore it to pieces. Since then I haven't found a toy the horses really like. The jolly ball is a bit small, and this one is not only small, but cheap and dents easily.
