Purchase: I purchased this saddle from my local tack shop for about $700 a few years ago because I needed a lower priced close contact saddle. I had heard good things about this saddle and the owner of the tack shop thought this saddle would have a very good resale value because, after I would outgrow it in a couple years, then more people would have heard about the brand and I could resell it for about the same price.
Likes: There are many things that I like about this saddle. It is very comfortable to ride in and, unlike some saddles, I never get tired of riding in it. The leather is also very nice. I have had this saddle for about 2 years and the leather is hardly worn even though I usually ride in it at least twice a week. None of the leather is cracking or dry and other than a few rubs, the leather has remained in great condition. This saddle also seems to fit many types of horses (I have a medium tree). I have ridden everything from wide ponies to tall, narrow Thoroughbreds and it seems to fit all of them very well.
Dislikes: There is really not too much that I dislike about this saddle. Really the only thing that I dislike is that on one side, the billet holes are slightly uneven. (When hanging loose, the holes on one billet are not exactly even with the holes on one of the other billets). This may be because they have stretched, but they might have come like that. Unfortunately, I do not remember. This, however, is not that bad and the holes are not so different that I have to keep them adjusted on different holes.
Quality: Overall, this saddle is a good quality saddle, especially considering the price. It has lasted very well and I love the quality of the leather. Nothing has broken and the leather has not become dry or cracked at all.
Summary: Overall, I love this saddle. The quality is very nice and it has lasted very well and still has years of use left. It is one of the best and most comfortable saddles I have ever ridden in and the price is also amazing.
