Purchase: A few years ago I needed a halter for my first horse, actually a pony. I purchased it in a purple color for around $35 from a local home and ranch store. I later found out that I had over payed, but did not know at the time.
Likes: It has held up pretty well over the years, it has some minor fraying along the edges and on the holes for the buckle, but that's to be expected. The brass hardware is nice, too. The sizings are pretty accurate and unlike other brands, you don't have to guess your horse's size only to have it not fit correctly. The color isn't too faded yet, even after many washings and years of use. Overall it seems pretty nice.
Dislikes: I don't have many complaints and no major ones; however, it can become stiff after drying if it gets wet, but to soften it back all you need to do it bend it around a bit. The colors seem a bit limited to me, it would be nice if they had more, but I believe they may have introduced new colors since I bought mine, though I'm not sure. It isn't a breakaway halter, but since I don't normally leave my horses halters on in turnout I don't mind.
Quality: It is quality nylon with heavy duty brass hardware with well done stitching. In general it has held up well, with only minor fraying. I think they could make some minor improvements, which are mentioned above, but there's really nothing terrible about it.
Summary: It is a nice halter for the price and if anyone asked I would recommend it to them. While it does have a few flaws, they are minor and several of which can be taken care of by buying the upgraded version. I would definitely buy it again.
