Purchase: I bought the headstall from Teskeys for around 30 and the reins from huckleberrytack.com for around 60
Likes: Although this is the simco Billy Cook tack, they are very well made. The leather is thick, well stitched and beautifully stamped. I added aftermarket silver conchos from Montana Silversmiths and the set up looks great. After some break in time and neatsfoot oil, the show reins are nice and supple, the silver bit end screw looks nice on the pecan reins.
Dislikes: nothing, they are beautiful and reasonably priced pieces of tack.
Quality: Well constructed in my opinion for Simco.
Summary: Buying the plain headstall and adding rosettes, buckles, and bit end silver myself ended up being cheaper than buying an already blinged set-up. Billy Cook has a color that fits close with my Crates saddles, these are quality pieces of tack for a reasonable price.
