Purchase: I purchased these gloves over the internet for $29.66 U.S. from HorseLoverz.com in Hazelton, Pennsylvania. I was looking for a soft leather riding glove that had a slightly elasticized wrist rather than a stiffer velcro closure. Initially, the gloves looked beautiful and perfect; constructed from ultra soft Pittard's leather, the manufacturer promises that these gloves will resist moisture from rain or perspiration and will remain soft yet strong.
Likes: The leather is, as promised, buttery soft and flexible. I prefer a thin glove which affords a more sensitive feel which these gloves provide. They look every bit as nice as more pricey versions of black show gloves.
Dislikes: The gloves are not sized evenly! Both are marked the same size on the inner tag, but are quite dissimilar. I am right handed so, if anything, the right glove should be tighter; instead, it fits perfectly while the left one has longer and much narrower fingers.
Quality: The gloves have perforations in the fingers, so that they breathe. There are three rows of elastic on the inside of the back of the hand to give a close fit. The seams look carefully and evenly stitched and there are reinforcements in the high "rein wear" areas. The Pittards leather is, indeed, soft and beautiful.
Summary: If the gloves were sized evenly, I would be very pleased with this product. For someone on a tight budget or who would just like the feel of a show glove for everyday riding, these gloves are a nice product. I would definitely try them on in person before buying, though.
