Purchase: I purchased this saddle via eBay through Horselovers.com. I have recently added a high narrow withered Arab Appaloosa cross and needed a saddle for her. I found this to be the best price around for a new saddle of this type. I did not find many used ones for sale.
Likes: I find Abetta saddles to be a very comfortable saddle for me and my horse. This is my second. It is lightweight and easy to clean and care for. I have had an Abetta synthetic on my quarter horse for years. It still looks great and has held up wonderfully.
Dislikes: I would have to stretch to find anything I do not like about this saddle. The fenders are hard to bend, but no harder then a good leather saddle. It is difficult to fit a breast collar to these saddles if you have a wider chest horse. My Arab cross has no problem; I can not find one to fit my large quarterhorse yet.
Quality: I feel the quality is excellent. This saddle has been dropped and drug and still cleans up nicely. The stitching is tight. The air grip bottom prevents slipping while on a saddle pad or you can use it without a pad. I use a saddle pad with it.
Summary: Every time I see a person in an Abetta saddle I ask them how they like it. They all say the same thing...and I say it here: I will not hesitate to buy another and another!
