Likes: I bought this saddle because I was having a lot of trouble finding an extra wide tree saddle for my horse. Thornhill makes a true extra wide (36 cm) and it fit my horse great. It is also nice and wide through the panels so it does not pinch my horse's spine. It's also a very comfortable saddle for the rider.
Dislikes: The leather showed wear marks and scratches after one ride. My horse sweat through the saddle pad, and the leather beneath the sweat flaps bleached out. Now there is a bleached quilt pattern underneath my saddle that I can't clean or oil out. The dye in the leather seems to bleach out, scratch out and rub out pretty easily for a rather irregular color.
Also, the twist is rather wide. It is probably because it is an extra wide tree, but it feels bulky under my thigh when I ride.
Quality: Except for the leather, it seems pretty well made.
Summary: A decent saddle for the price. I wouldn't have paid any more for it than I did, though.
