Purchase: Country Supply online - 8 lbs. for $16.60. I had purchased a very thin older TB gelding that I wanted to put weight on. Since he had been neglected for a long time and was a windsucker I knew this was going to be a battle.
Likes: Plain and simple, as another poster stated - it works. This is a different horse after three months on Weight Builder (plus, of course, worming, tooth floating and quality grain). You can hardly recognize him from the skinny ewe-necked, bony-butted critter I bought out of pity. Nobody believes he is an older horse anymore. It's easy to give - you just throw it in with the grain. My horse scarfed it right down without blinking.
Dislikes: The packaging. I hurt my hand every time I open the container - it's one of those awful "break the plastic and rip off the plastic strip and then pry the heck out of the top" buckets.
Quality: Seems to be a very high quality supplement. My horse looks great - weight, hair coat and hooves have all improved.
Summary: Highly recommend this to others trying to put weight on hard keeper/old/neglected horses.
