Purchase: I found this company while surfing the internet for saddle companies. I read the entire web site and was fascinated with the technology UNDER the saddle. My horse had been refusing to give me his left lead although I knew he understood the aid. Then he began bucking as I asked for canter and I knew I had to find a new saddle for him. As I am strictly a pleasure rider and endurance wannabe, I was determined for us both to enjoy our time on the trails. The reactor panels are not cheap, so I looked at their private sales and classifieds for a used saddle that had the measurements of my horse. I found an incredibly beautiful saddle that didn't look a day older than brand new, for $1500, (they are $3150 new).
Likes: This saddle has made my horse an unbelievable animal. He moves easily, transitions and changes leads as if I wasn't on his back. Not only is he more comfortable, the knee and back pain I had previously endured after two hour rides, was no longer there! I rode in a friend's saddle once while exercising her horse, (the same brand as my old saddle) and I felt that familiar pain in my knee and back. I feel like the reactor panel puts me in the best position for both me and my horse.
Dislikes: Nothing.
Quality: The quality and workmanship of this saddle is amazing. It is an eight year old saddle that looks like new. The quality of the leather is exceptional.
Summary: No horse is built the same, no one horse is perfect. After working with the reactor panel customer service, they helped educate me on how to properly fit my horse according to how he is built. And, after riding in this saddle for about three months, his left shoulder began to build muscle again as he was now using his left side without hesitating. Best of all, I was able to refit the panels to accommodate his changing shape and keep him comfortable throughout the process. Their customer service is first rate and I won't put my horse in anything but a reactor panel from now on.
