Purchase: After searching for a quality saddle for my Tennessee Walker for literally months, I found Dixieland Gaited Saddles online. Dixieland Saddles has a very informative website that has photos of the many types of saddles that they make along with detailed descriptions. Each saddle is handmade by Amish families that have learned the trade from father to son etc. Cynthia Wright is the owner of Dixieland saddles. She is super nice and very helpful in finding out what you are wanting in a saddle and getting it properly fitted to your horse. Dixieland Gaited Saddles offer forms that can determine what tree best fits your horse. It couldn't be easier.
Likes: After fitting my horse with the proper form I ordered an Endurance Saddle just exactly the way I wanted it. Everything was custom made especially for me and my horse. It is such a quality saddle! I couldn't believe how beautiful it was when I got it. The workmanship is absolutely the best! The 14 oz. leather is top quality. It is the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden in. I feel good knowing my horse is just as comfortable as I am. I ordered the endurance stirrups and also a saddle pad as well. I couldn't be happier with everything. Cynthia Wright is a absolute gem! She couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Thank you Cynthia!!!!
Dislikes: I really can't find anything I don't like about this saddle! It is the best!
Quality: This is a top quality saddle. It was hand made by an Amish man who learned the trade from his Grandfather. The 14 oz. leather is so thick and nice. It is flexible and well conditioned. The hand tooling is beautifully and carefully done by his wife. My saddle has Montana silver conchos. Top of the line saddle! I feel so blessed to have it!
Summary: If you are looking for something special for you and your horse go to DixielandSaddles.com and see for yourself.
