Purchase: I got these for Christmas-11 years ago! They came from Dover. I don't recall how much they were, maybe $140. They've since gone up to about $154.
Likes: They are 11 yrs old and still going strong. The elastic at the top has stretched, and there is some cracking on the outside of my instep. I wear these everyday. The sole barely shows any wear. Extremely comfortable and durable. Ariats don't come close to holding up like these do.
Dislikes: It is a sticker shock to pay for these, but they more than pay for themselves.
Quality: Wonderful leather and durable sole. The Cuthbertson is more streamlined than the 500 boot, making it easier to wear w/ snug fitting half chaps.
Summary: Don't be afraid to get these boots if you are a half chap devotee like I am. My foot is a medium width, and these are not too wide. They wear well in the winter w/ medium socks for our cold days in the south. No zippers or laces to fool with. Just a great boot.
