Purchase: I purchased a black quiet ride fly mask with ears from a local tack shop for $22.95.
Likes: It looked sharp and I thought the design that keeps the mask away from the eyes was perfect. My horse put a rip in the sheer part of the mask before we finished our ride. The tear is L-shaped right below his left eye.
Dislikes: The netting that covers the eyes is not strong enough to resist tearing when my horse lowered his head and attempted to rub his face on his front leg.
Quality: I liked the construction of the mask. The seams were constructed well. I especially like the design keeping the mask off the eyes and eye lashes. The mesh that covers the eyes is not strong enough to withstand a horse rubbing it against his leg.
Summary: I am very disappointed with this mask. I have tried several different brands over the years and the ones that hold up the longest are the supermask II with ears by farnam
