Purchase: Ordered online from ehorseequipment.com. Paid around $90, plus shipping.
Likes: This pad is AWESOME on round, low withered horses. I have ridden my mare on 8 mile trail rides, trotting and cantering hills, going up and down STEEP banks and over some low jumps with NO SLIPPING. I no longer have to use a breast collar on her, so I don't worry about limiting her shoulder movement. Pad is cotton with neoprene to grip the saddle panels and grippy material on the horse side to keep everything in place. I have washed it in the machine on a delicate setting and it came out fine.
Dislikes: Very hard to find this product!
Quality: Very well constructed- seams are holding up well. Pad does not show below saddle flaps, so the girth is not rubbing on it like many of my other pads.
Summary: I wish I had found this years ago. Tried one out during a recent saddle fitting and was sold! Cost seemed a bit high at first, but this pad will last for years and makes those hilly cross country rides much more secure!
