Purchase: I bought this bit from Jeffers Equine for about $30.
Likes: This bit is very affordable and effective. A lot of snaffles cause my horse to lean on my hands but with this bit he is much lighter in the forehand and much more readily accepts collection.
Dislikes: The only thing is it is a Stainless Steel bit so it is cold in the winter and doesn't encourage saliva production. My horse is pretty good with that though so it is fine for us. I believe you can also buy this bit with a copper oval link, but you might have to buy it from Dovers or someplace with a higher concentration on english tack.
Quality: This is a very good quality bit. I am very happy with the size of the Dees on this bit, it isn't too big or too small.
Summary: I think this is an amazing bit. If your horse is having trouble collecting with the bit you have or likes to lean on your hands, then I would suggest giving this a try. I am going to buy the loose ring version of this for my 3 year old I am training.
