Purchase: I bought this saddle during the 2007/2008 WEF season. I purchased a full buffalo leather saddle, which cost 4600 I believe. Full grained leather starts at 3800.
Likes: This saddle is the most amazing thing. It is perfectly balanced, the leather is so luxurious. After I ride I don't want to get off because the saddle is so comfortable. I feel like I'm able to communicate with my horse better, and the saddle gives me security over big jumps. My horse is so happy with the saddle. His back never hurts him, and he almost smiles when I tack him up!
Dislikes: I love everything about this saddle. I can find no faults with it at all.
Quality: Wow. Where to begin? The stitching is perfect, the leather is perfect. The saddle is balanced and it fits my horse and me like a glove. I feel ready to take on the world when I ride :)
Summary: Devocoux makes the best French saddles. That's it. I have tried CWD, Hermes, Antares etc. None of them have fit me very well at all, never mind my horse. The other brands are high quality and very well made, but for me they just can't stand up to my Devoucoux. The reps are so informative and helpful. The reps were willing to try countless saddles and spend time with my horse and I until we found the perfect fit. The saddle got here very quickly as well. They said it would be here in 8-12 weeks and I was expecting it to arrive in the 10-12 week range. It arrived in the middle of the 8th week! Devoucoux rocks my socks.
