Likes: The hard molded plastic strike pad gives fantastic protection, and the double velcro never comes undone. The rest of the boot is made of simulated vinyl leather lined in soft waffled plastic which doesn't rub my horses, or soak up any water.
They're simple to clean in the washing machine or by hose and always come up looking great.
Dislikes: The straps are too long for my scrawny TBs - I usually remove the Velcro and shorten them, then sew back on. They're bound in nylon webbing tape. The velcro on the straps catches in this and makes it fluffy - not a big deal IMO. Also arena dirt gets under them - not a problem for my horses but a sensitive horse could get rubbed I suppose?
Quality: They come in two colors - black and white. They're practically indestructible - I usually get a new pair after daily wear for a year or two when the elastic gets saggy. Can't beat them at this price!
The way the straps are designed leaves some people confused as to how to apply the boot. I have the elastic at the back, and the velcro strap on top so the end of the strap faces backwards. I know others who do the opposite.
Summary: I keep buying these and recommending them to friends. They're a fantastic tough boot for everyday that gives great protection even in competition.
