Purchase: I bought this saddle new from a local tack shop (H&H Tack) for about $400 at least 5-6 years ago. I forget exactly. I was looking for a saddle to jump the mare I had then in.
Likes: It is a comfortable, secure, and easy-to-clean saddle. Though I've had it for years, and trail rode rough, briar-filled trails, jumped courses, and schooled in it, it still looks practically new, and hardly shows wear. It is mostly the faux-leather material Wintec uses, with the faux-suede only on the knee rolls. I notice more wear on the equisuede saddles.
This saddle is gusseted, so it fits my butt-low QH gelding well, and is cut back well to allow his wither (which is high in relation to his butt!) proper clearance.
Dislikes: Wish it was leather, but otherwise, its good!!
Quality: Well made for the price, seems like it will last for quite a while.
Summary: Good saddle! I also love that it has adjustable gullets, so as my QH gains topline I can adjust it if necessary.
