Purchase: I bought this saddle after someone told me to try a treeless saddle because my horse was having a hard time with every saddle I bought. He is gaited and a lot of shoulder action and all saddles got pushed way back on his loins or the saddle sored up his withers. I won't put reviews on those saddle because its not fair to down a saddle maker/company because it doesn't fit your horse. Not fair to the company. I paid 1,097. Got it online at gotreeless.com. Worked with Jeannean and we sent several emails back and forth and decided this would be one of the best fits for my horse.
Likes: The saddle was comfortable right from the beginning. It fit well. Me and my horse. But as all the other saddles they seemed to fit until white marks appeared. I have been riding with saddle for quite a few months now and the saddle feels the same as when I bought it. Fits my horse well to slides back to the sweet spot but not on his loins. AND HIS GAITING IMPROVED DRAMATICALLY!!! The leather is soft but durable the seat can be removed to change out. The underside of this saddle id padded as an english saddle and it leaves a channel along the spine so the saddle does not sit on the spine. The stirrup leather I have are hard use. They are for endurance rider who have to stand and they are secure. You also feel like you are riging in a saddle not on it nor does it feel like nothing under you.
Dislikes: Hum, I guess if I have to complain about something I guess it would be I bought the demo. I am not in love with the black and brown color but I have a black Marino wool seat saver on it. I would have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to order one I wanted and I did not want to go back to my old saddle while waiting.
Quality: The leather is soft and durable. Saddle does not smell. Light weight. Hard use leathers are threaded through the saddle fenders. Easy to thread if needed but don't expect to.
Summary: If you have a hard to fit horse or if you ride several different horse that need different saddles you should check out this place. Customer service is great. Saddles are great. This is not built like your average treeless. I love it my horse loves it. In fact he doesn't move away from me as I lift the saddle up onto his back.
