Purchase: I purchased this saddle from www.montgomerysaddlesandtack.net I paid $875.00 plus around $40.00 shipping.
Likes: The saddle is just wonderful! Just by looking at it first hand and picking it up out of the box I was excited and I could tell it was very well made. The seat measures exactly 15 inches and there is just enough silver in the right places.
Dislikes: I like everything about the saddle! if I had something to say about what I would like? I am thinking of adding silver stirrups of some kind.
Quality: The tree is a hardwood and has full bars. It's seems to fit fine. I have read another persons comment that the silver flakes off? The silver is very detailed and seems to be a decent quality. I don't see how it can flake off.
Summary: I am very happy with my saddle. I just cant afford several thousand dollars for a show saddle. Once I found this Showman saddle I realized I could have a true show saddle at a price I could afford. I am very happy and will certainly suggest this saddle to my friends. I'm may also buy a Showman barrel saddle if the quality is this good.
