Purchase: Via a tip from a friend, I visited Thrifty Horse in the Norco area. The saddle fit my budget. (1000.00 dollars) It had a 8 inch gullet for my guy a widebodied QH. it also fit my needs as a vertically challenged person who is owned by a tall horse!
Likes: COMFY ON THE BUM. Centered riding position. Lite weight, easy to adjust and stays where its put. Easy to break in the leathers.One weekend of broom thru the dampened leathers and it was quite rideable.
Dislikes: Cheesy webbing on the underside of the saddle, instead of leather. Cheesy webbing instead of leather for the girth straps. There were no leather straps to tie saddle bags or a jacket to. No buckles to snap bags to ...
Quality: Over all the saddle is good looking and useful , other then the no straps or buckles to attach saddle or drink bags to.
Summary: Utilitarian unit that fit my horse. HAD to find that and something comfy for my. So the rest will be add ons.
