Purchase: My mom bought these for me from a local tack shop about 6 months ago. She paid approximately $50 for them, but I have seen them cheaper than this since I received mine.
Likes: I really like how easy they are to keep clean (hence the name "Easy-Care"). I wiped the dirt off mine for the first few months and this worked well, but when they started getting too grubby then I put them in the washing machine and they came out good as new! They look very nice too; I have gotten many compliments on them. Zippers and snaps are holding up very well. After a ride or two, they don't stink like synthetic, which is a plus.
Dislikes: The material that they are made of is like velcro for arena dust. You basically have to clean them after every ride which is kind of inconvenient. As well, they are starting to stretch out and fall down a bit. They fit perfectly at the beginning but now I am thinking that I could have done with a smaller size.
Quality: The quality of these half chaps is very good. I've had no loose stitching or anything. As I said above, the zippers and the snaps are of very good quality and are standing up to my abusive pulling on and off. The elastic part that goes under your boot hasn't started stretching or sagging either.
Summary: I really like these half chaps and although they are not top of the line, they are very good quality and stand up to everyday riding. I would definitely recommend these but be sure to get the next size down because they will stretch.
