Purchase: Purchased from Valley Vet for a whopping $35- well worth the money. I would have paid $50!
Likes: It works! It keeps those evil horse flies from even landing on my horse's rump while I'm riding. I bought the smaller of the two sizes and it fits both of my Morgans perfectly. It doesn't slip around like I thought it might. Girth loops and tail cord keep it secure, and it doesn't "flap" even on really windy days.
Dislikes: Nothing.
Quality: Very well made. I have used it, washed it, and used it some more. All seams and attachments, velcro, etc are secure. Soft mesh, not the crackly kind.
Summary: I had always snickered at people who rode with quarter fly sheets, but now I won't ride without one during fly season. The horseflies seem immune to every fly spray on the market, and the sweatier my horse gets, the more the flies used to bother her. This sheet keeps the flies from landing on her rump and biting, and it is still breathable because it's mesh. It doesn't sweat off like fly spray on long rides. I wish I had bought one years ago!
