Purchase: I bought this saddle at a used tack store in Canada (The Tack Collector), for $850. I needed a saddle that would fit my new horse, and I found that this one came with the adjustable gullet set.
Likes: I like everything about it! The leather is soft. Although, it was oiled when I bought it. The saddle is has a very cushioned seat, and very comfortable. The gullet set makes it SO easy to fit to my (or any) horse.
Dislikes: The only thing I don't like is that it scratches very easily (I don't know if it scratches easier because it is oiled?).
Quality: This saddle is made from beautiful, full-grain leather. It is very soft and smells nice. (I find that to be an important element in buying a saddle)
Summary: This saddle looks just like the Bates Caprilli saddle, but a lot less. It has a slightly deeper seat, but I find that it helps when working with green horses. Very beautiful! I would recommend this saddle to anyone.
