Purchase: I purchased these boots through www.horsefroogle.com for $28 for use on my 17hh appendix gelding who has hard-to-fit hind fetlocks.
Likes: I love everything about these boots, from form, fit, and function, down to the great value. These boots are lightweight and pliable but also tough enough to absorb the shock of interference or a hard rap from a jump pole. Most importantly, they actually FIT my horse and do NOT slide out of place during even the most rigorous ride. My gelding has enlarged tendon sheaths just above and behind both hind fetlocks, and is given to stocking up, especially in the summer heat. Therefore, finding a boot that fits has been a challenge, and I have literally tried everything. Best of all, the magnets really do help with the stocking up and in reducing the enlargement of his tendon sheaths. A miracle product!
Dislikes: The fact that I wasted my money on four other pairs of fetlock boots before finding these!! (And the fact that I don't yet own the matching magnetic open front boots!) Seriously, no complaints at all.
Quality: These boots have a tough but lightweight and pliable outer shell with unique detailing that gives them a high-end appearance. The combination elastic velcro straps provide just the right amount of give for a perfect, comfortable fit. The boots are lined with neoprene that is covered with a soft, smooth synthetic material.
Summary: Best fetlock boots ever! They fit and they do the job they are advertised to do (increasingly blood flow and circulation, which reduces swelling) for a fraction of the price of high-end horse boots.
