Purchase: I bought the saddle directly from Down Under in Denver Colorado on the web site. I paid $690.00, which included neoprene roller aussie girth, stirrups, billets. The Australian style saddle was recommended to me for a securer ride. I am a novice rider and never felt secure in a synthetic western saddle that I was using.
Likes: I loved the poleys. My horse fell forward on his knees during a trail ride and the poleys caught me from going over his head. The high cantle also prevented me from sliding off the back during a steep incline on the trail. The leather is ok, made in India.
Dislikes: There were some cracks in the leather on the seat cantle, hopefully it won't split any further. The billets were off color from the rest of the saddle. I don't like to buy foreign made saddles but the price was reasonable.
Quality: The tree is adjustable for your horse. You need to send a wither tracing to get a correct fit. There is a 10 year warranty on the tree. I have not used it enough to comment any further on this topic.
Summary: I love the saddle. I feel it saved me from falling off the horse quite a few times. I would definitely recommend a hornless australian saddle. You can attach a utility strap to it and hang things off the dee rings like a Western saddle.
