Purchase: I purchased this saddle online from Teskey's saddle shop in Texas for $895.00 plus $30.00 shipping to California. I decided to purchase from Teskey's because they had a great selection of Billy Cook barrel saddles at reasonable prices and excellent customer service.
Likes: I purchased this saddle to replace my old American Saddlery barrel saddle which didn't fit me or my horse. This saddle is very comfortable, beautiful, fits us both great and has excellent quality and workmanship. I especially like the rust colored quilted suede seat and the beautiful floral tooling on the skirts. Also very light weight at about 28 lbs.
Dislikes: The only thing I didn't like about this saddle is the quality and design of the silver conchos. I feel Billy Cook could have manufactured higher quality conchos which would have further enhanced the looks of this already beautiful saddle. No big deal though, overall great quality saddle for the price.
Quality: This saddle is very well made and is a huge step up from my American Saddlery saddle.
Summary: Excellent saddle for the money. Very happy with my purchase, worth every penny. I am sure I will be happy with this saddle for years to come. I highly recommend purchasing a Genuine Billy Cook saddle.
