Purchase: I ordered this bridle from Country Supply, along with the reins. The bridle sold for $43.99 and the reins for $29.99.
I bought it mostly to save my good bridle, a lovely Arc de Triomphe dressage bride, for lessons, shows and clinics, and use this one for schooling and hacking out.
Likes: It seems sturdy. The crown and noseband are relatively soft. It's a fairly attractive bridle. And it's synthetic which means I don't have to clean the sweat off it after every ride, and I don't have to worry about it getting wet if we get caught in the rain while hacking out.
The reins are thick and cushy and offer a decent grip.
Dislikes: It could be more supple. The crown is okay. The straps are a bit narrower than I expected. I thought the cheeks and noseband could be a bit wider. I fasten the nosebad somewhat loosely otherwise I think it might chafe. The throat latch could be more supple. There were loose threads on the reins, (the rubber grip part) right out of the box.
Quality: It's acceptable. I wasn't happy about the loose threads on the reins but the rest of the bridle seems made well enough.
Summary: I think this is a very practical, usable bridle for schooling and hacking if you want to save your good bridle for clinics and shows, etc. And it will save you some tack cleaning time. It looks okay on the horse.
