Purchase: I bought these riding pants at a tack shop in New England for $35. I was looking for light-weight riding pants that would be comfortable to wear during riding lessons being held in an outdoor arena in the summer heat.
Likes: These schoolers are made of a 97% cotton, 3% lycra blend, making them a nice weight for summer use. Since they are pull-ons, the waist is a wide but comfortable elastic waist. They have a generously-sized zippered pocket on the front. The knee-patches are made of the same fabric as the schoolers so they aren't bulky. The available colors are black, navy, hunter green, light tan, and a soft brown.
Dislikes: I like everything about these pants, but it would be nice if they had a few more colors, such as charcoal grey, or a light-denim blue. At this price, it would be easy to own one pair in each color!
Quality: The stitching is even and sturdy, and the fabric is substantial enough that it is much more "forgiving" than many summer-weight riding pants on the market which are only flattering on a supermodel!
Summary: Tuff Rider Pull-on Cotton Schoolers are well-made, light-weight riding pants suitable for everyday riding in the summer heat.
