Purchase: I purchased this pad through an internet retailer and paid $250. Based on the internet research that I did, it seemed to have all of the qualities I wanted.
Likes: It washes beautifully and dries fast. The internal Supracor piece comes out, and you can wash the exterior wool/pseud-suede piece in the washer.
Dislikes: It made my horse's back very hot, which is probably more of an issue being located in Florida. I didn't like the spongy feeling; I didn't feel like I was making contact with the horse. I used it for a few weeks and couldn't wait to sell it.
Quality: Very well constructed. If you like the unit, it will probably last a long time.
Summary: I just didn't like the Supracor material at all, plus the excessive heat that it generated on my horses back. Supracor pads do wash nicely and dry fast.
