Purchase: I bought these at Baker's for about $70 CND. They special ordered them for me, since I told them I was looking for a good quality leather boot for not-too-much money.
Likes: The price was fantastic for the quality of the boot, and they're holding very up well so far. Although they're that kind of suede-like leather, they are very easy to clean. My horse seems to love them, and they look great on him!
Dislikes: The elastics stud closures are very weird lengths.. the top 3 are on their tightest whole, and the bottom 1 is on the loosest. I also can't cross the bottom two straps because then there's a bulky overlap of leather pressing on the horse's leg. I just do them up straight across, though, and I don't mind much. I wish they were neoprene instead of rubber lined.
Quality: They're holding up great so far!
Summary: I think they're wonderful boots for the price, though if I was willing to spend a little more $$ I might have bought something different. Be careful of the sizing - a small fits my big boned 15.3 appendix, but the medium was huuuge on him (and all the other horses I tried them on). Unfortunately, the small doesnt offer AS much protection as I would like for his splints, but as this isn't the purpose of the boot, I can't be too hard on them for it. :)
