Purchase: I purchased this saddle, new, directly from Schleese for $3,695. I needed a better-fitting saddle for both me and my 5-year old Oldenburg.
Likes: I love the quality of the leather. The saddle also helps you stay in proper position. I find that it keeps my hip angle open and has tremendously improved my sitting trot. My horse is also very happy this saddle. I saw an immediate improvement in his collection and willingness to go forward. His canter departures are also more round, light, and balanced.
Dislikes: Nothing...this is the best saddle I have ever ridden in, and it is worth the investment.
Quality: I have the French leather, and it is worth the upgrade. It is gorgeous. It is a well-made saddle and very elegant.
Summary: If you are able to spend the money, this very well could be the last dressage saddle you ever buy! With saddle fittings all over the country, you can have it adjusted to your ever-changing horse or even a different horse.
