Purchase: I bought this saddle off ebay, from a tack store in Kentucky (hrsn4fun). I paid about $600.00 CAD
Likes: I really like this saddle because it's adjustable and really comfortable. I love it and my horses seem to like it was well. It came with the changable gullet system and CAIR, all the gullets, a girth, stirrup leathers, stirrups and a saddle cover. It has the removable knee/thigh blocks, which is also great.
Dislikes: This isn't a problem with the saddle so much as me really, but I don't really like how forward the flap is, but I think that's just because it's a close contact and I like all purpose types better.
One slightly annoying thing is because of the type of material the "leathers" and billets are made of, they can be kind of stiff in cold weather. Not unmanagable though. And once they're warmed up it's not a problem.
Quality: It's made really well from what I can tell, but I'm not a saddlery so... I've had it for a year and a half and there's really no wear on it and I use it for everything, from showing to heavy trailriding (shoving through trees). The only thing that has happened is the side screws on the pommel have come out. The saddle doesn't seem to be affected by that though, so it's more of an appearance issue.
Summary: Over all, I would recommend this saddle to anyone looking for a synthetic close contact. It's great.
