Purchase: Ordered from Baker's. Had it custom made at 18". It fit me (a tall, very long through the thigh rider) the best, as well as every horse I put it on. I paid $27500.
Likes: I love the leather, it's breaking in nicely. The seat is very comfortable. I can do all my dressage movements in it easily. The calf and thigh blocks are in exactly the right place for me. And it really does fit every horse in the barn.
Dislikes: After 6 months, it's still losing colour out of the darker leather areas. The seat in particular. It has left colour on my breeches. The billets could be a smidgen longer, giving more options for girth length. I have had issues with using too long of girths because the next size down I have doesn't fit, and then the buckles end up too high and leave makers through the flaps, and bruise my legs.
Quality: The consturction and quality are top notch, I know this saddle will be with me for a long time, and it will still retain it's value.
Summary: I love this saddle, I just wish the dark areas were a bit more colour fast.
Best fit for a tall rider.
