Purchase: I purchased a weatherbeeta "Landa" rug sac-- it's a 3 blanket set w/ fitted fleece sheet, stable blanket/duvet, and med. weight waterproof denier turnout. I think I paid on sale $120 for the set 4 years ago.
Likes: I want to HIGHLY recommend this "Landa" set. Mine have taken a beating in the long Maine winters 24/7 use and turnout..... and they are still fine! Excellent product at a very reasonable price. I actually at the same time purchased a well known competitors "wug" and it was a piece of junk- after 1 season it was faded and frayed! Sent it back to manufacturer and was given a refund.....which I used to buy some more Weatherbeeta!!!! ;-)
Dislikes: well- if I had to find one thing to complain of- the only thing I would say is the "Landa Rug Sac" sets do not come in a wide range of colors. Mine is blue w/ maroon piping. But, given how well the blankets performed I really don't care if it's not my favorite colors
Quality: The landa turnout has fleece pad at the withers, tail flap, shoulder gussets, 2 buckle chest, criss cross belly straps, additional leg straps that are removable. It is denier and waterproof/breathable with a medium weight insulation
stable blanket/duvet is also a medium weight insulation. It's nice to use as an underblanket either for very cold conditions under the Landa med. turnout, or, with a waterproof exterior sheet. It's very handy as an underblanket since it's very easy to pop in the wash, as opposed to a heavy weight waterproof single blanket that is difficult to wash in an average washer.
Polar fleece sheet can be used as a wicking cooler (very good for cool/cold weather trailering too as it breathes/wicks/keeps the chill off without being too hot)And it's also easy to pop in a washer
All the blankets in the set can be used individually or all 3 layered for very cold weather warmth.
Mine have held up excellently in 4 Maine winters. They are worn but no tears or repairs needed so far and still waterproof
