Purchase: I bought this saddle at my local feed store for $800. They had to special order it out of the catalog. I had done tons of internet research before deciding on this saddle.
Likes: I love how secure and comfortable the seat is. We do competitive trail rides, so it has been put through the test of fast turns, long distances, hot or cold weather, you name it.
Dislikes: I am a shorter rider and the inside of my knees are bruising on long rides (15-20 milers) because they are directly over the in-skirt rigging and I'm squeazing for all I'm worth to stay with my horse's fast trot. I am torn to part with this saddle because I truly love the seat's comfort. I have ridden in other saddles, and the regular in-skirt riggings all hit me in the same spot. So this isn't the saddle's fault, but something to think about if you're short like me and looking to do longer-distanced riding.
Quality: I own two Tex Tan saddles, and both are made extremely well. My horse has never received raw or sore marks from these saddles, unlike others that I've seen.
Summary: I have owned and ridden in this saddle exclusively for 2 years now. I love this saddle and would recommend it to anyone wanting a solid saddle with a secure and comfortable seat.
