Purchase: My husband and I started riding four years ago and purchased two identical saddles (except for seat size), and also two western saddles as we planned to ride trail also. Bought them locally at a large tack store. We paid about $ 1800. a piece for them, I think.
Likes: My saddle is beautiful leather, quality and color. The knee rolls are movable and that has been quite useful as I learned to ride. The CAIR panels have been great also as my mare was a skinny 31/2 year old to begin with, and has grown into a lovely round 8 year old. She is a saddlebred with narrow withers but round barrel. In the last year and a half we have taken up dressage, and I still use this saddle. My western has only been used five times and I am trading it in for a dressage saddle only to allow my legs to get into proper position, and for competition aesthetics. It is super comfortable and truly all purpose.
Dislikes: Nothing really. Will keep it for trail riding.
Quality: Well made, well thought out, and excellent quality. Looks like new after four years of three times a week use.
Summary: Great saddle, not cheap, but will last a lifetime and retain its worth if you need to sell in the future.
