Purchase: I bought this saddle pad at Professionals Choice online. I paid 127.00. I bought it at the site because I needed the extra guarantee. I needed to know that the pad would fit as a unit, and if it did not after a few rides, that I could still return it.
Likes: I put the pad on my horse and it sat right down on the dip below the wither, and I signed a sigh of relief. It was what I have been looking for, the perfect fit between horse and saddle. Style and beautiful colors were a plus too.
Dislikes: When ordering, you need to know the size of your saddle skirt. The pads come in square, and rounded. Normally for the round skirt on my saddle, I would of bought the round pad, but if I did that, it would not of fit. The square, which has rounded ends anyway, looks wonderful with my set up. It would of been a hassle to return and reorder another one.
Quality: Oh, I cant say enough about the softness on the bottom side of the pad. There is an air flow line at the center of the pad, and the build of the ortho area is the greatest. The feel of the top of the pad is very nice, and the colors, wow, just snap. I know this saddle pad will last me quite some time, so the money spent makes it worth every penny. The color ties in with my saddle and horse perfectly.
Summary: I will not buy another brand of saddle pad for this particular horse. If you have a withered horse, that has that dip at the shoulder, you need to try the ortho barrel pad, or the regular ortho pad.
Its worth the money. I'm sure Ill be using mine for a very long time.
I am so excited about it, I know my next purchase for my easy fitting horse will be a Charmayne James pad. For me, there is no other!!
