Purchase: I purchased this saddle from Action Rider tack about 1 year ago for $750 plus special pad, leathers, stirrups and girth.
Likes: I had been happy with the saddle until recently. The construction seems good and the saddle fit my round and short-backed horse.
Dislikes: I've found that even when cinched up tight the saddle still has the tendency to slip. I recently ended up in the hospital with a concussion. No one knows what exactly happened and I can't remember. But the saddle was found tipped to one side. I'm not blaming the saddle as I can't remember what happened, but I do know that it had slipped a couple times before.
Maybe this saddle would work better with a narrow horse or one with high withers or with a little more shimming. Just a word of caution.
Quality: Good construction, Nubuck gets worn though. Comfortable, can feel the horse's movement.
Summary: A good saddle for hard to fit horses. Good quality for the price. Just be certain it is a good fit for you and your horse.
