Purchase: I paid around 1000 for this saddle from 123tack.com (by the way, that site is great for all toulouse items). I had heard that it was modeled after the pessoa legacy, so i went to my local tack store and compared the two side-by-side. With the exception of the color, they were identical! I found that the saddle was cheaper on 123tack, so i bought it with a matching girth and bridle there. I was switching to jumpers after many years in the hunter ring, after selling my old hunter and buying a jumper horse, and my old saddle restricted me over bigger jumper fences.
Likes: This saddle is the closest thing to perfect I can find under $1000! The leather is buttery soft, and I always feel supported when jumping, even up to 4'! My best friend has another toulouse model that is made after a hunter saddle, and she loves it just as much as i love mine! I'm instantly put in the right position just sitting in this saddle, and I've never had any saddle that looked so nice! It truly does look like a legacy, for 1000 less! My good riding friend was looking for a new saddle (she was shockingly disappointed at the quality of her circuit pro) and tried this saddle out in her lesson. She was sold at first ride!
Dislikes: To be very picky, and i mean VERY PICKY, i don't like that the tree is only warranted for 10 years. I still intend to use this saddle for longer than that, so I'm afraid as it gets older the tree wont last as long!
Quality: This saddle is made wonderfully, and looks 1000's more than i paid.
Summary: Toulouse saddles are great for people who want quality saddles, but just cant afford them.
