Purchase: I recently purchased this saddle from the company's (Saddle Inc.) online store for $89.
Likes: This saddle is very pretty on a horse with a rider and in pictures. The flaps are soft unlike some other cheaper saddles.
Dislikes: The leather across the seat of the saddle is very porous (you wont see this when you are riding). I purchased the saddle new but it came with some damage. When I tried the saddle on my horse it looked like a perfect fit, however when you sit in the saddle the tree squashes out putting pressure directly onto my horses spine. If you have a larger withered horse this probably fit ok, but it did not fit "average" withered horses.
Quality: The quality of the saddle is somewhat poor. There is no stiching holding the leather along the bottom of the cantle, it is glued and has come apart. This should not be too hard to take to a tack store and have stitched (I would suggest you have it stiched even if the glue is holding because it is likely to come apart in hot weather). The stirrup leathers must be attached very carefully or you will strip the "leather". The headstall is of the same quality.
Summary: Overall this is an okay saddle for a beginner. Personally I would not recommend it though. There are better cheaper end saddles for those on a budget. I would suggest saving some money and buying a better quality saddle. Now I'm out the money and have a saddle I cant use. I would have sent this saddle back but that would have put me out another $45 in shipping. Spend the extra $200-300 and buy a good saddle from a trusted company, if you buy this saddle you are taking a gamble.
