Purchase: I ordered these from Equestrian Collections about 2 1/2 years ago. They cost about $200.
Likes: Nice boots for schooling. I was tired of layering paddock boots, then spurs, then half chaps. Zippers are very sturdy and the leather is holding up well under less-than-ideal conditions and care. These are "work" boots and are worn for riding, lunging, mucking, stomping thru pastures to catch horses, etc.
Dislikes: They are WAY too short. They have dropped 2" since I got them, and they were barely tall enough right out of the box. I wish Mountain Horse would wake up and make different HEIGHTS, not just different widths.
Quality: Very well made boots. As stated above, I have abused these boots for several years and am still wearing them. The elastic gusset is a little puckered and the toes are a bit scuffed, but overall the boots seem well constructed.
Summary: Great schooling boots. Could show in them if not for the logo-thing on the swagger tab. I just need taller boots!
