Purchase: I bought the Cashel Crusader fly mask (long w/ears) for my horses, thinking that idea was wonderful (to have the entire face covered). To me, the mask is expensive and it didn't even last 6 months! I spent less on the Super Mask II, and years later, I still have one (although, now I need to get another one). And, yes, they wear a mask every day.
The ears part quickly fell apart (and my horses weren't rubbing their ears or face) and the long part that covers the nose area, is very stiff and just doesn't fit correctly. It also is way too long (and I bought an Arab sized one for my fine boned Quarter Horse, and a regular horse size for my Standardbred), and it gets into feed, hay and water every time the horse eats or drinks.
NOT WORTH IT! Very, very disappointed.
Likes: The design. I love that the entire face is covered. I wish more masks were like that.
Dislikes: The durability is zero! Didn't last long at all and for the price, I expected better quality.
Plus, as mentioned already, the nose portion is stiff and just way too long. I bought two different sizes for my two horses and both masks had the same issues.
Quality: No durability whatsoever. I don't feel the quality is good at all. Definitely not worth the money. Will never buy one again.
Summary: See all of above. This mask is just not worth the money. I was going to buy the mask to use when riding as well, before I saw how the mask doesn't last.
