Purchase: I bought this fly spray about a year ago from State Line Tack for $12.99 as a 32 oz concentrate. I bought it because I wanted to avoid chemical sprays.
Likes: The flyspray smells nice, like citrus and citronella mixed together. I would not have a problem at all theoretically applying it to myself as the ingredients are all safe.
Dislikes: However, Nature's Defense is better suited as a perfume than a fly spray. It worked last summer for all of thirty minutes before wearing off, no matter what the concentration I applied. I literally had to SOAK my horse's legs for it to make any kind of long term difference. However, this was still preferable to chemical sprays in my book...
AND the cap doesn't hold tight. (It actually soaked the inside of my tack trunk, and my helmet will never again smell like anything not citrus).
Quality: Aside from the cap not holding tight, the ingredients seem to be of fairly good quality. For an all natural spray, at the price, it does ok.
Summary: I will probably try another natural spray this year, though I must admit, if I still had any left in the bottle (blasted cap) I would probably give it another run. With enough spraying it does finally work decently.
