Purchase: I saw tons of 'miracle ads' for Leather New in Horse Illustrated. So I bought a bottle for my first pair of hand-me-down, dilapitated, cracked leather dress boots.
I think at the time it cost about $8 at Agway.
Likes: Leather New really did work wonders for that pair of boots, and all the other half decent leather articles I've used it on since. The boots really should have been in a landfill somewhere. But, with a few hours of washing and saturation with Leather New, they looked acceptable enough that a couple people asked me what was wrong with them when I joked about how junky they were. Leather New really is a great product, at least as good as many more expensive brands I've used since.
Dislikes: It is hard to wash out of fabric if you get any on you.
Quality: I still think Leather New is one of the best leather conditioning products in its price range. It also has a bit of a sudsing action than can be utilized to clean your leather like a soap.
Summary: I don't own any leather tack anymore, and my boots more or less take care of themselves... but were I to own a leather saddle again, I'd pick up some more Leather New.
