Purchase: Bought off eBay for about $45 plus shipping, which I believe is about half of retail. I was looking for a higher end half chap to replace my "starter set", that would fit and wear well.
Likes: These fit me well and are very comfortable. I like that the panel on the inside of the leg is leather instead of suede. I didn't want to "cheat" too much with a suede grip, and whenever I see someone wearing their old suede chaps the insides are rubbed smooth anyway. The leather is a happy medium and won't change much with wear. These chaps are also heavy enough to provide good protection, so they would be good for someone who is spending a ton of time in the saddle or who has problems with the leathers rubbing their legs.
Dislikes: When I was walking through a lot of mud and dirt I found the bottom snap was getting muddy and coming open or being hard to close. Not a really big deal as even when it was open I never ever had the zipper start to open.
Quality: Very high quality. The materials are great, including a nice heavy zipper. The workmanship is also quality. I have had them for a year so far, and I know they are going to go a lot farther for me too.
