Purchase: I bought this product off of ebay for about $67, with it retailing at $99. I was able to buy it from a local retailer that happened to have it on ebay, so I didnt have to pay shipping.
Likes: Although not made of sheepskin, the wool bottom provides a thick protection to the horse, and the felt top babys my saddle. I find that it serves its fasion and function purposes well, without spending big bucks for an original Beval.
Dislikes: I'm not sure if its just the pad I bought, but its a bit to large for my 16'' saddle, and so it either has some extra pad hanging off the back or the front, depending on how you use it.
Quality: The quality is very high, and the construction is superb. Toklat makes some very nice pads, and you can tell that they put alot of time and research into making sure this pad provided a thick comfort to the horse, while fitting them properly (but not my saddle.)
Summary: I'm very happy with this pad, although because of the fit with my saddle, I wouldnt spend $99 on it. Other then that, It serves well as a substitute to a Beval, and can be placed on a variety of horses.
