Purchase: I bought this saddle online from 4windstack.com for $289. I was looking for a good saddle that wasn't too expensive because it was supposed to be a Christmas gift.
Likes: It's a really comfortable saddle of good quality, but it's not too expensive. I realize that it's not the best of the best, and probably wouldn't stand up to Crosby, Bates, etc. but it was still nice and doesn't wear down that badly.
Dislikes: The bars on the saddle that are supposed to hold the stirrup leathers aren't doing it that well. Sometimes I find that the entire stirrup leather and stirrup have come off of the saddle. Although they have never come off while I was riding, it was a concern that I had when I was beginning to use it.
Quality: Overall, I found that the saddle was of good quality. It has held up well. I ride anywhere from three to five times a week and there isn't any unusual wear. There is, of course, wearing on the girth billets and on the flap where the stirrup leathers are, but otherwise, the saddle has held up quite nicely.
Summary: Overall, I think this is a great saddle to buy if you're not looking for a big investment but still want something of fine quality. I purchased it since I was unsure of where this sport might lead me and didn't feel the need to buy a nice, expensive saddle if I was just pleasure riding around the arena. I am very pleased with how it's held up dispite the abuse the riding puts it through. It has great leather quality, cleans easily, and the price is reasonable for the product that you're given. I didn't want a synthetic or used saddle, so I found this fit exactly what I was looking for without extremely overshooting the price range that I was bound to. I haven't run into any major problems with the saddle, and my horse and I both like it a lot.
